Virtualization wizard
The virtualization assistant consists of a step-by-step guide through the various capture processes,
right through to the completion of the virtualized application.
This provides the user with a means of creating virtual applications without any prior experience of the process.
The assistant is intuitive and easy to use. The individual phases for each of the options available are described in detail within the assistant program.
Create virtual application (.exe-file)
Evalaze can set multiple entry-points (.exe-files) for the virtualized application.
64-Bit operating systems
32-Bit "problem" applications can be launched on 64-Bit systems.
Evalaze allows 32-Bit applications to run on 64-Bit systems even though their internal file structure and registry paths are not actually designed for it.
Adaptable Virtual File System
Evalaze offers the option of editing the virtual file system directly within the program.
To do this the user has several options available, like adding or removing folders for example.
In addition, detailed settings can be regulated on folders or files in the isolation mode.
This allows for considerable changes to the application being virtualized.
Customisable Virtual Registry
Similar to the file system structure, the virtual registry can be edited directly on Evalaze.
To this end, the user has options such as the adding or removing of registry keys at their disposal.
In addition, the isolation mode can be used for registry keys and registry values.
Personalised Start Screen
The loading screen appears when a virtualized application is launched.
This can be customised to your needs. Personalised text can be imported, such as the name of the company or organisation, your own or the company’s logo for example.
Upon request, the loading screen can be switched off completely, but this is only possible in the Private Professional and Commercial Editions.
Producing File Associations
With Evalaze, virtualized applications can be automatically associated with certain files.
This provides the virtualized application with the positive attributes of an installed application.
It is, for example, possible to associate html or .txt files with a virtualized browser.
Creating Shortcuts to the Taskbar, Desktop and Start Menu
Evalaze has the option of automatically creating start menu, desktop or Quick Launch shortcuts for virtualized applications.
There are various configuration options available that allow the user to customise the links individually.
The links are created when you first start the virtualized application in the Windows operating system.
Logging
Evalaze can log nearly every event, that occurs during the virtualization-process.
Extended Logging
Evalaze can log every event, that occurs during the virtualization-process.
Unlimited Number of Virtualised Applications
With all editions of Evalaze an unlimited number of virtualized applications can be used on designated, licensed clients.
There are no restrictions on how many applications can be virtualized.
Licenses for Commercial Use
The commercial use of virtualized applications is only permitted with the Commercial Edition.
The Commercial Edition is designed for businesses, schools, administrations, etc., for use with software created for the commercial market.
Run Evalaze on multiple Clients
When Evalaze is used in a commercial context all workstations on which virtualized applications are being used must be licensed.
Then any number of virtualized applications can be run on each client.
There are separate licensing options for software vendors to enable them to provide their own applications developed in-house to their customers in virtualized form.
Licenses for Use on a Network
The use of virtualized applications in a network is only permitted with the Commercial Edition.
In this way centralised access to the virtualized applications is made possible.
Access permissions can be managed easily.
Licenses for Use on Terminal Servers
Providing virtualized applications on terminal servers is only possible with the Evalaze Commercial Edition.
Supported systems are the Microsoft Terminal Server and Citrix.
Licenses for Use with Virtual Infrastructures
The provision of virtualized applications in virtual infrastructures is only possible with the Commercial Edition of Evalaze (e.g., Citrix XenDesktop, VMware View).
Distribution of Virtualised Applications for Software Vendors
Software vendors can use the Evalaze Commercial Edition to make their virtualized applications available. Separate licensing arrangements are required for this.
Technical Support
Technical support for the Evalaze Commercial Edition delivered directly via the manufacturer. Extensive support services are provided by qualified personnel who will identify, analyse and correct any issues.
